The Eureka lemon, botanically known as Citrus limon, is the standard commercial lemon variety around the world because of its consistent flavor, firm texture, high oil content, and nearly year-round growing season. This variety was originally named "Garey's Eureka" after Thomas Garey, who propagated the first Eureka lemon tree.

Germinating seeds:

If stored properly, seeds can last for years! All seed packets contain 100% true heirloom seeds - there are no fillers or other weeds or seeds mixed in. Most have been harvested by hand and all have been tested with a exceptionally high germination rate.

Use the paper towel method for germination, but the soil method, is more effective. Please soak seeds for 24 hours in warm and then 72 hours in cold water.

1.Prepare a container with sterile potting soil. Before filling it with soil, create drainage holes. Paper cups tend to dry out sooner, so if you are punching holes in the bottom of the container for drainage, do about four for plastic and two for paper.

2.Plant the seeds about 1.5cm under the potting soil. Add enough water to moisten the soil, but don't let it get soggy.

3.Cover the cup with either a plastic bag or plastic wrap. Keep checking to make certain that it remains moist.

4.Store the pot in a warm place. Sunlight is not necessary at this time.

5.Move to a sunny area. Maintain moisture. Transplant to a more permanent container or direct in ground when the seedling is large enough.
