Connie Stewart was a well know Northern Irish entertainer, comedian and mime artist, who was active in the 1960’s - 1980’s period.

Rowel Boyd Friers MBE, was born in Belfast on 13 April 1920 and died in Holywood, County Down on 21 September 1998. He was was an internationally acclaimed cartoonist, illustrator, painter and lithographer. His work can be found in many collections including the National Portrait Gallery.

This work depicts Connie on stage with his customary cigar in hand and is mounted within a brown coloured wooden frame and is behind glass, ready to hang and enjoy.

It measures 33.5 cm x 27.5 cm including the frame. With a few marks to the frame as seen in photos but displays beautifully.
