This is a mix i have developed myself on my Philodendrons. It is a general mix for most aroid plants which require a chunky moist but free draining high nutrient compost.

This mix contains potting compost, sustainably sourced medium grade (8-15mm) sterilised orchid bark, dried long strand sphagnum moss, horticultural perlite (2-5mm), horticultural charcoal and organic slow release fertiliser granules.

This offers a free draining yet moisture retentive mix high in nutrients that is designed to stay 'sweet'.

    The bark is from FSC mixed sources at a minimum of 50% and is Soil Association approved
    Naturally durable and stable with a long lasting structural strength
    Provides high and resilient air-filled porosity
    Prevents water logging in the lower layers of the pot
    Promotes vigorous healthy root growth

The perlite is organic and sustainably sourced and of horticultural grade it aerates whilst offering thermal stabilisation of the soil.

The moss is high end orchid grade and sterilised. It offers moisture retention.

The Charcoal helps to prevent salt and toxin build up in the soils. It is beneficial in any container growing.

The compost is sterilised and sustainably sourced, it offers the substrate structure and initial nutrient supply.

The additional feed granules are slow release offering nutrient availability for approximately 6 months reducing the need for additional feeding.

All my potting mixes are made to order, Organic and sterilised. They are always fresh the day they are shipped.

Comes in simple bags ready to use. ideal for home use. Each order receives a 1 litre volume. Enough to fill a 1litre (13cm diameter) pot when empty. I mix these to order so can complete others volumes upon request and do offer discounts on higher volumes.

I do my best to keep postage charges as low as possible, asking enough to cover the stamp and box only.
