1988 Olympics Cover - Gymnastics / Balance Beam

This first day cover is from the UK - Postmarked British Philatelic Bureau - Edinburgh, dated 22 March 1988 with a trophies  

It has a gorgeous stylised-brush-stroke stamp with a female gymnast on a balance beam in a straddle position.

This comes with an info sheet all about Olympic Balance Beam event which was introduced in 1952 in Helsinki and is only contested by women. Gold Medalists are listed  

The FDC slots neatly into the sheet - you can take it out or display it with it in. Would be lovely framed.
