In 2018 to celebrate the 250th Anniversary of Captain Cooks Voyage of Discovery, the Royal Mint released a special Limited Issue Brilliant Uncirculated Captain Cook £2 Two Pound Coin.
The reverse designed by Gary Breeze features the ship Endeavour, Captain James Cook in writing and the dates 1768-2018  while the obverse depicts the Fifth Portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark.
