Lot of sixteen RCA-made 6V6GT beam power tubes. Presumed used. A mix of brands represented. This is the design type most commonly seen from 1938 until the 6V6GTA became the predominant type in the mid-1960’s. Carbon (graphite) coated glass, ribbed black plate, bottom rectangular getter. Tubes are clean, bases are tight, no rattles. Gettering on all looks like new.

All tubes were thoroughly tested on TV-7D/U military mutual conductance (Gm) tube tester that was calibrated and upgraded by Mr. Dan Nelson. The minimum “good” Gm value for a 6V6/G/GT tube on this tester is 2,300 Micromhos (µmho). Plate current under test was also measured. Nine of the sixteen tubes tested within the Gm range expected of a new old stock tube, the other seven tested not less than 15% of that level. You’ll find many matched pairs. The lot in ascending order by test:

Note that the two 1940’s production tubes have a center top plate mica metal stabilization clip not seen on the later production tubes. Tubes are supplied with test results enclosed on a paper test report.

These items are from the collection of an old timey radio guy. My descriptions are meant to be as thorough and specific as I know how. To assure accuracy, I use reference material, research and the advice of people who have credible expertise in this area. Unless otherwise stated, tubes have not been load tested in a radio set or amplifier for noise or other performance parameters. Though this auction is marked not to accept returns, if my descriptions turn out to be in error, please reach out to me so we can work things out. I have no idea how these tubes will function or your expectations from their use, so that part is at your risk and therefore please bid accordingly. Thanks for considering this listing!

I will ship via USPS 1st Class Mail or Priority Mail in the USA.

International Shipping, please see the Shipping and Payments tab for shipping costs.

I will combine shipping when possible, please understand these tubes are large, and I pack very carefully.  I may not be able to combine shipping for every item.  If you are planning to buy/bid on any items and want to know if I can combine shipping on them, please ask.  I am here to answer any questions you might have.

On Mar-02-21 at 12:03:58 PST, seller added the following information:

ALL tubes test within the Gm range expected of a new old stock tube. My fault for the incorrect entry . . . too quick on the cut-and-paste from other listings. If you've bidding on these, though, I'm sure you already know this just by looking at the numbers, but I wanted to set the record straight.
