and part of the Charleston waterfront.

published in the April 27, 1861 issue of Harper's Weekly,
shortly after Confederate guns around the harbor had opened fire on
Fort Sumter, leading to the surrender of the Union garrison, the fort's
evacuation, and the official
start of the Civil War.
- Condition: This map is in very good
condition, bright and clean, with no
marks, rips, or
