Rare Antique 18th-19th century Islamic Indo Persian dagger Zirah-bhonk. Details: Finely hand forged recurved single edged steel blade with thickened beveled conical point and the sharp edge on the concaved back spine of the blade precisely hand forged whit its integral beveled ferrule and shaped tang fitted with a pair of shaped stag horn grip-scales The thickened and beveled point of the blade it is used for piercing through the rings of a coat of chain mail.

 

"Zirah bouk" “Zirah bonk”. which means 'Chain-mail piercer' . A dagger with a point thickened so that it was strong enough to be forced through mail”

In its original leather–covered wooden scabbard.

CONDITION: In good condition considering its age, except for minor pitting on the blade, the back of the scabbard is gash. Please see the photos as they are a part of the description
