Up for your consideration is this pack of 50 Alternanthera reineckii var. Roseafolia seeds. These are the real thing. Grown by me in my hobby greenhouse here in Illinois. These are rarely offered to the hobbyist and the supply is limited. Growing Alternanthera reineckii plants from seed is not that unusual. One of the world's major producers of aquatic plants uses seed to produce the Alternanthera reineckii plants that they grow in rockwool and sell in net pots.  As seeds go in general they are fairly easy to germinate and grow into plants. They should be grown in emersed conditions (roots in moist soil, leaves in the air) at first and then transferred to an aquarium later if you wish.  The seeds are small, about the size of petunia seeds, and require about the same conditions, knowledge and skill to grow as petunias require. It does require some skill and experience to grow AR from seed but if you can grow petunias from seed then you should have no problem with these.  Instructions are included with each order.  The photograph of the young plants was taken about 3 week after germination. The photograph of the plant in the aquarium is for illustration only. You will receive 50 genuine Alternanthera reineckii seeds and growing instructions with each order.

Orders for three or less seed packets will be shipped in a regular stamped envelope with no tracking. I ship them this way to keep the costs down for you. I will ship orders for 4 or more total packages of seeds in a USPS First Class package with tracking... so if you want tracking please order 4 or more packets of seeds (they can be the same or different varieties).  If you don't agree with this please do not purchase the seeds. I will also cancel all orders to a re-shipper. They do not function well with stamped envelopes. Thank you for understanding.

Please see my other listings for more aquatic plant seed varieties that I offer.  I've been growing aquatic plants for 50 years and I first sold aquatic plant seeds in the early 1980's through classified ads in popular aquarium magazines. Give aquatic seeds a try... it's a satisfying experience and science is fun! Thank you.
