Original Vintage Hapag Hamburg Amerika Orientfahrten 1929 by Ottomar Anton

This product data sheet is originally written in English.

This 1929 poster promotes travel from to the Orient along the Mediterranean. An unusual color palette of bright orange and blue is used to depict the sun setting on a mosque along the sea, and a man rests in the arches of a nearby monument.

Before the First World War, the Hamburg-America Line was one of the largest fleets of commercial ships in the world. With so many of its ships damaged in the war years, Hapag (as it is also known) rebuilt its fleet in the '20s and '30s with sturdier, more efficient vessels that would help it re-brand as a company that was reliable and steady to sail with.

He is mostly known for his images depicting zepellins, most notably The Hindenberg.

This is an Original Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction. This poster is conservation mounted, linen backed, and in excellent condition. We guarantee the authenticity of all of our posters.

It is 23.5" x 33".
