Stunning late 1800s large hand tinted albumen photograph of St. Mark's
Cathedral in Venice, by renowned photographer Paolo Salviati
(1818-1894), in its original frame, in very good condition. The colors
in the photograph are bright and vibrant with no fading. The frame
measures 27 1/2" x 23 1/2". Minor missing gold trim on frame, not
noticeable, photograph is in very good condition with no damage. The
photograph is stamped in the lower right corner.
Paolo Salviati's
photographs of this stature are held in important collections across
the globe, including the J Paul Getty Museum and the Boston Library.
