• My Stoney 5th string banjo capo arrived this week from the UK. This is an excellent product which is made of high quality materials and stays in place very nicely via a small suction cup which attaches to the back of the banjo neck. It also comes with its own custom made "draw-string" type bag. Great value which cost me about $18.00 US and was made and shipped from the UK.

• I was looking for a 5th string capo that didn’t have to screw permanently to the neck or require drilling spikes into the fretboard. The Stoney Capo is the instant solution I was after as it is to use on a banjo with a great sentimental value. • This is just the best option for a 5th string capo. Nothing nailed or screwed into the neck of your banjo. Easy on and off. Doesn't scratch up your neck. Does a great job of fretting the string down the neck. Amazing that nobody else ever came up with this ingenious idea. • This Stoney capo caught my eye - and on trying it out I find it easier to put on, off and move to different positions than the elastic one.  It's also better made and less likely (in fact, completely unlikely!) to damage the neck of the banjo.  Works a treat!

Please Note:  This fifth string capo will only work on banjos with a gloss (varnish) finish. The suction cup cannot get an airtight seal on matt natural wood finishes and although some enthusiasts have added clear tape to overcome this problem on matt finishes, we do not recommend you do this.
