Interesting, hand painted, wooden welcome sign with a silhouette of a Revolutionary War soldier on horseback
The heavy, uniquely shaped wood piece is painted red around the thick edges to match the heart at the top
The front of the wood is varnished and shows the beautiful grain; the back is smooth, but unvarnished
A piece of knotted twine is threaded through the top of the piece to allow for easy hanging
This is by a local artist, "Bev Flory"; it is signed
There is some light surface scratching and paint wear; pics #10 and 11 are examples; I see no chips or cracks in the wood

This is such a nice item -- definitely different than anything I've seen!
