I made this tool for working on Suzuki Samurai ring and pinions.

It works with all Suzuki Sidekicks, SJ410, SJ413, Vitara, Jimny models.

It is a factory pinion flange with a solid steel bar welded to it.

It is used for holding the pinion in place when setting up the pinion bearing preload.  

The initial torque needed to crush the pinion crush sleeve is very high, you need to hold the pinion in place in order to do this.

Usually, most people uses a prybar along with two bolts bolted diagonally in the pinion flange to hold the pinion in place while tightening the pinion nut to crush the crush sleeve to obtain the proper preload.  But after doing so many of these and bending so many bolts and deforming the pinion flange mounting holes, I decide to make this tool so that it is much easier and safer while tightening the pinion nut when crushing the crush sleeve.
