Antique Navajo Rug Red Mesa 1900

Outstanding example!   Beautiful and early Navajo weaving.

This is made of handspun and carded churro wool, and germantown yarns, as well as raveled and recarded red flannel (bayeta), woven on wool warp.

Brown looks like naturally dyed mountain mahogany.

A very unique and tightly woven piece!

Blue is most certainly indigo dye.

Fantastic original condition! Has a few areas of light soiling.

A beauty!

Measures: 79 x 49 inches.
