Il kickstart 3.2 abbinato al nuovo sistema AMIGA OS 3.2 si avvierà più velocemente, richiederà meno RAM e include anche correzioni nel processo di configurazione hardware, il secondo dei quali non può essere sostituito dal codice caricato dal disco.

AmigaOS 3.2 is packed with over 100 new features, dozens of updates covering almost all AmigaOS components, and a host of bug fixes that will undoubtedly enhance the user experience.


kickstart ROM 3.2


The kickstart ROM 3.2 is located on 2 physical ROMs both HI and LO and is installed on your real Amiga 1200.


Kickstart 3.2 paired with the new AMIGA OS 3.2 system will boot faster, require less RAM, and also include fixes in the hardware configuration process, the latter of which cannot be replaced by code loaded from disk.

 System requirements


Amiga computer or emulation environment (such as WINUA, ERE)

At least Kickstart 3.1 / or higher (3.1.4). Kickstart ROM 3.2 (recommended, as less boot time and memory consumption)

2 MB of total memory (Chip-Ram + Fast-Ram). If you are not using the Kickstart 3.2 physical ROM, a total of 2.5 MB of total memory is required

    1. REACTION GUI TOOLKIT INTEGRATION

    • DAControl and trackfile.device provide unprecedented functionality, as they allow users to create, mount, insert and eject ADF files
    • ADF images are handled like any physical floppy disk
    • On "Workbench" you can mount an ADF image by double clicking on it
    • ADF management can be done through the Shell through the use of a large set of available options
    • Accessing these mounted ADF disk image files is fast and requires very little memory
    • Multiple ADF disk images can be mounted at the same time
    • A shared cache system is available to speed up ADF operations

    • Pressing the [Shift] key while the "Save as ..." menu item is selected forces MultiView to save the displayed document in IFF format
