This is a graduation badge from a military academy in the Peoples Republic of Hungary. this is a very old style (but post-Rakosi) that uses two tines to attach to the uniform, instead of the PRH's patented "wingnut" and screwpost. the red and greed triangles are borrowed from the Hungarian military's "Wolf's Tooth Flag", which has been their battle standard for hundreds of years. it is 1 3/4" by 1 1/8" (the same size as their Soviet counterpart". this is original and enamelled red, white, blue, and green on solid brass.
