Many were not collected due to people thinking they were no longer bronze/copper. The value in people’s minds were that they were zinc with a light plating of copper. Hence the lower amount in BU/UNC condition today. Coins have some carbon spotting, but the coins are still uncirculated. Grade of coin is not affected by spotting, cosmetic only. I send out the best that I still have in stock.
