These 100% cotton Medieval pants are straight-cut with a drawstring waist and a button-fly front closure. Authentic look and style, best suited for re-eanactors, Ren Faires, theater and serious cosplayers, including Celtic, Frankish, Saxon, Viking, Early Renaissance. These will match a variety of medieval outfits. Not taper cut, straight leg, though more narrow than other styles like the pirate pants. Also available in black.

I finally took these out so I could get some accurate measurements and photos (more soon). I'm calling these pants or trousers now so as not to confuse people. Even though they might technically be hose they don't fit most people's mental image. Here's what I have so far:

There is a drawstring waist with wood toggles and a button fly. There are 3 buttons total - 1 at waist, in addition to drawstring, an 2 hidden that secure the fly. The legs are basically straight cut, so more fitted than the pirate pants. Still loose enough to be comfortable around camp and room to spar in.

size M:     35" to 36" waist, 30.5" inseam see 'model' photos of my friend Taylor, he is about 140 lbs so pants are a little large on him, still look good!

Size L;      36" to 38" waist, 30" inseam (crotch is lower so pants leg shorter?) 39" long overall

Size XL;   38" to 40" waist, 32.5" inseam (like a 33" at least since they hang lower than modern pants), 42" long overall

Size 2XL; 40" to 42" waist, 33" inseam, 42.5" long overall... so really not much longer than the XL, just wider

From Wikipedia: Hose are any of various styles of clothing for the legs and lower body, worn from the Middle Ages through the 17th century (ed: mainly by men, but we are so much freer now) after which time they fell out of use in favor of breeches and stockings. See also trousers.

Comments: Good materials and workmanship. Lightweight and comfortable with room to move. Completely authentic looking. Hand-made in India with a 'homespun' look. Reenactors will appreciate the historically accurate look and style of these, plus details like the ties and texture of the fabric.
