The check is signed by three men:
(1) Walter Huey Leonard (1918-2012), who was
the President of the Leonard Oil Company,
and who served in the Navy during WWII;
(2) Henry Foil Craver (1921-2011), who was
the Secretary-Treasurer of the company,
and who served three years in the Navy
as an inspector in an aircraft factory;
(3) A man named C. S. Cude, who worked for
Fordham's Auto Repair Company, which
was also located in Winston-Salem.
I am not certain, but I believe that this man was
either Charles Stephen Cude, Sr. (1902-1975), or
his son, Charles Stephen Cude, Jr. (1930-1996).
The check is in the amount of $118.50
It was made out to Fordham's Auto Repair Company.
The check is in very good condition.
The check is now enclosed in a
clear plastic sleeve, for protection.
