HONESTY IS MY POLICY! (read on as this car is not perfect)
The vintage windshield is in good shape for its age (see photos).
The hood functions as it should but does not stay up (picture was taken at an angle).
The bottom is clean but shows some signs of its age (see back left corner in photo).
With may be shiny HK style chrome wheels, the car rolls straight and smooth.
There are small imperfections that can be seen through the paint upon close examination, but are hard to notice with the naked eye. The close-ups should show. Overall, the paint is nice and even.
Restored vs. Unrestored: What a history this 50+-year-old ORIGINAL redline has had! It certainly deserves a new life but signs of its previous life will always remain. We loved (and abused) them as kids, and now we can enjoy them again as adult collectors. Pictures tend to show imperfections more so than actually looking at the car but I have described it as honestly and in the greatest detail that I can. Why would anyone spend hundreds, even thousands of dollars on a "near mint" car (or so is the claim) just because it hasn't been repainted, cleaned-up and/or repaired? INSANE! We certainly wouldn't do that with real classic cars and the so-called "near mint" cars have many flaws and imperfections too, just look!! With a restoration you get a GREAT-LOOKING original redline at a fraction of the NM cost. A careful restoration is a lengthy and detailed process and what's wrong with making a car beautiful again? Your choice, your money!
