Guernsey 5 Pounds banknote, 1996 - 2006
Queen Elizabeth II
Uncirculated

Guernsey:

The Bailiwick of Guernsey is one of the three British Crown dependency territories.

The island of Guernsey is located in the English Channel, 48 km west of Normandy, France. Because it is a Crown dependency, it uses the pound sterling as its currency. However, Guernsey produces its own banknotes.

Although the bailiwicks of Jersey and Guernsey often referred to collectively as the Channel Islands, the "Channel Islands" are not a constitutional or political unit. Jersey has a separate relationship to the Crown from the other Crown dependencies of Guernsey and the Icle of Man, although all are held by the monarch of the United Kingdom.
