Solido Diecast Friction Cars - Three Models, Made in France, 1954 to 1957, all in Very Good condition.  Very scarce set with advertising inserts and box. Construction of the cars is similar to the famous Schuco toys out of Germany. The three car bodies are housed in a nearly complete box.  The Packard has a full friction undercarriage, which can be key wound, though no key is present. The other two cars are the bodies without the guts. The Packard also has gorgeous red front and back seats, and snazzy white rubber wheels.  The other two--one stamped 407B, the other 408B--are a Nash and a Fregate.  The Fregate is missing one front window strut. Included in the package are three full advertising sheets, which describe the company and the cars in this group. This is probably the 100 series, which introduced to the world the 1:43 scale, though only one of the advertising sheets is dated, and that is 1954. Three loose metal pieces, quite likely tools, are included.
