Built for children, inside and out, the LeapPad Ultra is a kid-friendly tablet with a 7 inch high-resolution screen and safe WiFi that works with hundreds of fun educator-approved games and apps. The tablet is designed for children aged 4 to 9 years, and works with all LeapFrog Explorer cartridges and downloadable apps (sold separately).

LeapPad Ultra is built from the ground up to be ultra-tough for kids, and has all the features they want. Play, draw, and write on a 7 inch high-resolution screen, designed with feather-light responsiveness for a kid's touch or for stylus-based play. Capture the world in two ways with front and back cameras and video recorders.
Kids can add cool filters and effects to photos with Photo Fun Ultra, and create crisp, colourful masterpieces with the enhanced Art Studio Ultra app. They can also rock out to included learning songs, or jam to their own music with the built-in MP3 player. Their pet can even chat and play with other pets in two peer-to-peer apps included.

The LeapPad Ultra works with LeapFrog's award-winning library of over 800 educator-approved apps, games, ebooks, videos, music, and more. The library draws on 2,600 skills in auto-levelling games that adapt to your child's pace in subjects like reading and writing, mathematics, creativity and life skills, and science and social studies.
Play with game cartridges or download apps directly to the device from the online app centre. With 8 GB of memory, you can hold up to 40,000 photos, and with a built-in lithium ion rechargeable battery, the learning fun never ends.
Parents can also connect to the LeapFrog Learning Path to see details of their child's play and learning, including levels achieved, skills practised, and recently played games. Celebrate accomplishments with online rewards, and gather ideas to support the learning.
If you are having problems with the screen and/or the pen of your LeapPad not working correctly, it may be necessary to recalibrate your screen. To do so, please follow these simple steps: (1) power on your LeapPad; (2) simultaneously hold down the home and volume up buttons, which will bring you to the Parent Settings menu; (3) on the Parent Settings menu, select the Screen Calibration option by either touching it or arrowing up to it if the screen is totally unresponsive (if you arrow up to Screen Calibration click the right D-pad button to advance to the next screen); (4) five '+' signs will appear on this page one at a time – click the center of each '+' sign to complete the calibration.
