This is a lovely pair of original pencil drawings by the renowned Irish Artist COLIN GIBSON depictings HOGGS in Portadown and in Belfast. 

(1) HOGGS OF PORTADOWN WITH ST JOHNS PARISH CHURCH
Original Pencil sketch on mount-board signed and annotated to lower right. 
Dimensions: 31cm x 23 cm
Some slight discolouration from being in original mount.

(2) HOGGS OF BELFAST ON DONEGALL SQUARE WEST
Original Pencil sketch on paper. Unsigned. 
Dimensions: 28cm x 30 cm
Some slight discolouration from being in original mount.
Some foxing to outer edge.

Artist Colin Gibson was born in Belfast in 1948. His artistic career started in 1964 when he joined the graphic design studio of the Belfast Telegraph where he worked for nine years. Colin’s has had a number of solo exhibitions, the first in 1968. He turned professional at the tender age of 26. Today, Colin’s work can be found in various galleries and private collections across Ireland, Britain, American and Canada.
