Clog gauge or Suction Vacuum gauge

These are used with hydraulic oil filter heads. They have a 1/8" Bspt thread. Most filters are a 'return' style filter. You can confirm by check your hose from the filter is going back to your oil tank. There will be an arrow somewhere on the filter head showing flow direction. This is where a Clog gauge is used.

The second, less used gauge is a Vacuum suction style gauge. It reads vacuum in Hg. This is only used if there is a suction filter before your hydraulic pump.
