Spiegel Sewing Machine Model 539 Owner’s Manual. No manufacturer or publisher stated.  No date or country of publication.  Plus, Guarantee Bond, Machine Guarantee, Inspection Sheet, and Unpacking Sheet.

31 page soft cover manual or booklet in very good vintage condition.  The book is approximately 5 7/8 x 8 1/2 x 1/8 inches.  Stapled binding is tight.  Covers are in very good vintage condition with very light edge wear, general wear, tanning, wrinkles, and foxing.  Color is a more even blue than the picture shows.  First few pages have a small, grey spot.  Pages are very good with tanning.  There are no tears, dog ears or highlighter.  Illustrated.  The best I can place this manual is after 1964.

Guarantee Bond is 8 x 11 ½ inches with tanning.  Inspection Sheet is 5 ¾ x 8 3/8 inches with ink and tanning.  Unpacking Instructions are 8 x 11 ½ inches with tanning.  Spiegel Sewing Machine Guarantee is 8 x 11 ½ inches with tanning.  Many of these papers were folded and may be shipped folded. 

I have seen this sewing machine identified as a New Home 539 and as a Janome New Home 539.  I believe this to be an earlier model…there is a difference in the electric light and lack of a name plate.
