Lot Of 5 Vintage 1950s US Postage Cancelled Stamps & Uncancelled Post Card. Included in this lot are:

- (1) Purple 3 Cent Thomas Jefferson 1st Class Stamp - cancelled. Initially issued in 1938 as part of the Post Office's Presidential Series of 1938, these stamps were  used from 1938 into the late 1950s. This stamp is cancelled and ungummed, but is otherwise in great condition;

- (3) Green 1 Cent George Washington 1st Class Stamp - cancelled. Initially issued in 1938 as part of the Post Office's Presidential Series of 1938, these stamps were  used from 1938 into the late 1950s. These stamps are cancelled and ungummed, but are otherwise in great condition. Two of the stamps are attached to each other, the 3rd is stand alone; and

- (1) Jefferson 1 Cent Postal Card (Green); unused. Otiginally issued sometime in the early 1900s, these postal cards were in use for most of the years from initial issue until the late 1950s - roughly 50 years. Sooo, we really don't know the exact date of production for this item, but based in the other stamps itbwas found with, WE ARE GUESSING it os from the mid to late 1940s. If you have any better information on this piece, please let us know and we'll update this post as appropriate.
