I am proud to offer for sale this original hour hand from a Slava Transistor watch manufactured in the Former Soviet Union in the 1960s.

"In the 1960's Nikita Khrushchev visited the U.S. and was given a Bulova Accutron caliber 214 (back then one of the most technically advanced wristwatch watch movements then made) by president Lyndon Johnson. On his return, he ordered the Soviet engineers to make a copy of the watch. And this was the result!

The hand was attached to a Slava Transistor watch in part of a watchmakers estate which I acquired approximately 20 years ago, wrapped up inside a box along with numerous other Soviet mechanical watches.

I only recently discovered the watch while having a bit of a sort-out during lockdown. After a little research I discovered the recent interest in these watches so decided it should be passed on to someone who could make use of it.

I have followed the standard practice of "don't restore" and left the hand exactly as I found it and have made no attempts to clean or improve the condition prior to sale.

If you have any questions at all, or require any further pictures or information, please do not hesitate to ask.

Thanks for looking.
