Jean-Mairet
& Gillman... History César Jean-Mairet, coming from a long line of
watchmakers, machinists and world travelers, dreamed of designing
watches one day. He did not grow up in the watchmaking industry however
and pursued other interest before finding his true passion. With an
engineering degree he found himself building power plants and when that
no longer held his interest, he went back to school and earned a
finance degree as well. This led him to work for several prestigious
financial institutions, but the dream of designing watches never left
his mind. He founded his company in 1999, at first as a hobby, to
combine his passions for watches, science and machinery.
The featured
watch describe is a Swiss made Jean-Mairet & Gillman World Time
Sport S.GMT.PVD.Sil.RUB in matt finish high-grade Stainless Steel/ PVD
round case measuring 42mm diameter. Fixed bezel. Automatic movement,
power reserve up to ± 42 hours.. Displays a Grey dial with applied
raised luminous filled Arabic 12 & 6 numerals, dot markers, indexes,
minute track at outer rim. Steel luminous tipped hands with sweeper at
center, Date aperture at 3 o'clock, 24 Hours day/night dice rotates
within the sub-dial, 24 cities, at 9 o'clock position. JMG screw down
multifunction crown, Sapphire crystal, transparent caseback. Red Rubber
Strap with Jean-Mairet Gillman Deployment Buckle. Water resistant to
100m/330ft. Display signed "Jean-Mairet Gillman", Caseback inscribe
& numbered, Movement sign.
