This mount comes standard bent at a 45° angle, The metal is designed to bend without breaking, Adjust the angle so when mounted the detector is level with road. 

Note: Do not attempt to bend the mount while the detector is attached.

This mount the sticky part is gray colored (it’s for the industrial used purpose, the best of the one 3M tape), before use it you might need to clean the windshield once and TURN ON your car heat to blow your windshield a while before use it.

If you want remove it , you can used a little plastic shovel to remove it (Must be plastic) and using the 'GOO GONE' to clean it up that will be fine !. ( All you can find in Home Depot ), thank you!.
