Fantastische Gitarre von Gerundino Fernandez aus dem Jahr 1995 - diese Gitarre ist ein echtes Meisterwerk mit dem echten Gerundino Flamenco-Sound!

Gerundino Fernandez (1931-2006) wird von vielen als einer der besten Flamenco-Gitarrenbauer der zweiten Hälfte des zwanzigsten Jahrhunderts angesehen, zusammen mit Arcangel Fernandez, Francisco Barba und Manuel Reyes. Seine Gitarren wurden von vielen Spitzenspielern gespielt, insbesondere von Paco Pena, Paco del Gastor, Tomatito, Juan Martin und sogar Eric Clapton.
Diese Zedernblanca hat eine schnelle Ansprache und einen großen, holzigen, traditionellen Flamenco-Sound. Genauer gesagt, der Ton ist klar und fokussiert mit einer leicht dunklen Textur - "andalusisch" im Charakter - nicht überraschend, da Gerundino selbst in der Stadt Almeria lebte und baute: Geburtsort und Heimat von Antonio de Torres und der modernen spanischen Gitarre.
Dieses Instrument hat ein paar sehr professionell reparierte Risse - ansonsten ist die Gitarre in sehr gutem Zustand. Sie spielt sich großartig - die extrem leichte Bauweise gibt ihr einen sehr explosiven Attack, sie hat einen großen, rauhen Sound. Sehr ähnlich dem berühmten Klang von Paco Pena, der auch eine Zedernholz Gerundino spielte. Boden und Zargen sind aus Zypresse und die Decke aus Zedernholz. Sie hat eine Mensur von 660 mm und eine Sattelbreite von 54 mm.
Insgesamt eine wunderbare Konzertgitarre eines aus einer guten Epoche für den ernsthaften Flamenco-Spieler und Sammler.

Gerundino Fernandez (1931-2006), is considered by many to be one of the best flamenco builders of the latter half of the twentieth century, along with Arcangel Fernandez, Francisco Barba and Manuel Reyes. His guitars have been played by many top players, most notably Paco Pena, Paco del Gastor, Tomatito, Juan Martin and even Eric Clapton.
This cedar blanca has a fast response and a big, woody, traditional flamenco sound. More precisely, the tone is clear and focused with a slightly dark texture - "Andalusian" in character – not surprising as Gerundino himself lived and built in the city of Almeria: birthplace and home of Antonio de Torres and the modern Spanish guitar.
This instrument has a few professionally very professionally repaired cracks - beside this the guitar is in great shape. It plays great - the extremely lightweight build give it a very explosive attack, it has a big, raspy sound. Very similar to the famous sound of Paco Pena, who famously played a cedar blanca Gerundino from this same era. Back and sides are of cypress and the top of cedar. It has a 660 mm scale length and a 54 mm nut width.
Overall, a wonderful concert guitar of a great vintage for the serious flamenco player and collector.
