Offered is this oval-shaped painted steel portable hot water bottle or warmer, possibly used in a buggy or antique car or maybe just as a bed warmer. The piece has a threaded cap with a large ring on top. There is a mark on the top of the cap that looks like a pennant attached to an anchor but I was unable to find out what maker used that mark, perhaps an English company? I don't know how old it is but it is certainly old enough to be vintage if not antique.

The piece is approx. 11 1/2" long, 8" wide and about 5" high with the cap on but the ring down. It is in good to very good condition. I see no holes but there are a few small dents. The paint is partially worn off, as seen in the photos. The cap goes on and off easily.
