Dr. Hess & Clark, Inc. was founded in May 1894 by Gilbert Hess and J. L. Clark in Ashland, Ohio. Its industry was veterinary medicine and its headquarters remained in Ashland, Ohio.

The company was purchased by the Vicks Chemical Company in 1955. It was sold to other companies until going out of business in 1999. It was resurrected by Tyler & Polly Tribe in 2006 and is known based from North Salt Lake, Utah.
