Brooklands flying club gold coloured badge commissioned in 2007 by Brooklands automobilia & regalia club of Brighton in conjunction with brooklands, all badges are heavy plate with proper vitreous enamel not enamel paint and made as exact replicas of the originals and Manufactured by Toye, Kenning and Spencer who were the original makers and still producing badges today . Only 100 sets of eight badges were produced to commemorate 100 years of Brooklands, this is one the eight so now very rare. some were returned to the maker to be stamped with the anniversary dates on the front, such a set can be seen in the new Brooklands Hotel. See the picture of the original eight badges produced, there were two flying club badges in the set in chrome and gold.It is important to know that you can tell an original by its mounting and how it is marked on the back, the way this one is marked shows that it was produced in 2007.
