Urea
is a white, odorless powder that has hygroscopic properties, thanks to
which it has a significant effect on the intense hydration of the
epidermis (it is one of the most important components of NMF, the skin
moisturizing factor). Makes the skin exceptionally moisturized, regenerated, smooth and firm. A proven solution is to combine cosmetic urea with lactic acid (stabilizer), salicylic acid, lanolin and glycerin. Urea dissolves very quickly and easily in water and alcohol, it does not dissolve in fats.
How is urea used?
Enrich
the finished cosmetic or add it to DIY cosmetics - Dissolve urea in
water and add it to body creams or balms. Combine it with a cream base
and use it as a care product for rough and dry skin on the feet and
heels. Add to the bath as a moisturizing ingredient. Add urea to water
and try it as an exfoliating-moisturizing foot bath
Urea - cosmetic properties
Depending
on the concentration, urea has a keratoplastic, moisturizing and
firming effect (1-10% concentration) or keratolytic (exfoliating),
antibacterial and anti-inflammatory (at a concentration above 10%).
Urea softens and tones the skin. It is a very universal substance. It can be used in the care of all skin types.
When
preparing urea-based creams, it is best to dissolve it in double the
amount of water, ie, for example, dissolve 10g of urea in 20g of water
and "screw" the prepared solution into the substrate.
NOTE: Do not heat the urea solution.
