From the Dog Collection of an ex prominent NY Dealer.

All 4 have some yellowing around edges, thumb tack holes, and ink or dirt marks. I did not try to clean.

1) Scotty with Duck 10” x 11”. Marked 7/52/B EAR in pencil on the side. Back reads “A.D. RAHN, 734 Ocean Av, Brooklyn NY”

2) Dog Mailing Birthday Card. marked 57/33 B. 9 1/2” x 13” Wax tissue paper attached. No markings on back.

3) Small Dog with just hatched Duckling and eggs. 10” x 11” #31/20. Tissue paper attached. Back reads eads “A.D. RAHN, 750 Ocean Av, Brooklyn NY”

4) Horse with Booted Rider in blue. 52/37B 13 1/2” x 9 1/2” Unmarked on back- stamped March 16, 1942

“Angelo Donald Rahn was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1871. With his wife Beatrice Rahn (nee. Binnix), he moved to New York City where he worked as a freelance illustrator contributing cover art and interior work for mainstream magazines such as Metropolitan, Boy’s Life, McCall’s, and St. Nicholas. Along with these commissions, he also worked as a prolific book illustrator for the publishing house Grosset and Dunlap among others.”
