Les Oursons d’Ourseville décident de participer à un concours de cerf-volants. Léa et Léon sont très surpris quand Papa leur suggère de construire leur cerf-volant plutôt que d’ en acheter un. Ensemble ils le fabriquent , « à l’ancienne » mais il est trop grand pour voler par vent faible. Cependant ils décident de concourir avec Le grand cerf-volant rouge, pour eux ce n’est pas de gagner la compétition qui compte c’est d’être fiers de quelque chose qu’ils ont construit de leurs mains. Ils veulent simplement voir voler Le Grand Cerf-Volant Rouge. Et par chance le vent se lève et le magnifique engin s’envole haut, très haut.
