These 3000mAh batteries are compatible with the 3rd Gen ipod A1040 & both 4th Gen A1059 (Monochrome) & A1099 (Photo- Colour), but only if flash modded!
The Batteries will only fit with the thick ''40GB & 60GB back Panels' and only with the flash Mod / SD or microSD modification as shown in the photo's.
Battery is easy to install, original battery must be removed. Correct battery management circuitry and plug has been factory fitted to the battery. Battery positions on top of the silver shield but under the CF to SD adapter.
Fits perfectly in the thick back panels with hard drive removed and flash modification installed. Will not fit with original Hard Drive, will not fit with the slim 10GB, 15GB & 20GB back panels.
***Please Note- Very Important. If you are using the Green adapter you will need to trim and or remove the pins (See Photo) and solder the two points together. The pins can puncture the battery and cause a short! Once you have made the jumper, you will to put a little glue over the solder, let it dry then put a little piece of Kapton tape or electrical tape over it to insulate!

Comes with 2 x plastic pry tools, a long nylon spudger, 3 x plectrums & a Torx T-6 screwdriver.
