Welcome to my Store, this listing is for a handmade vintage Winter Coat - Dressy Over Coat with detachable Capelet done in black and white 100% Wool Tweed with black velveteen trims, is fully lined using a heavy black satin lining produced for special winter garments, I did it for my daughter almost 30 years ago, she was 7 years old but I used 6X size measures because she was a little small for size 7.
This particular design came from a Little Vogue Pattern # 8182, if you are interest in the pattern just let me know, I am selling also the little Black Hat that matches the Coat both are in my Store here in eBay.
This beautiful dressy coat have a very loose fitting, because of the pleats in the front and back sides, have a A-line body cut and is mid-knee length, with side pockets, long sleeves with contrast cuffs and the collar was made also with the black contrast, have a cute detachable Capelet with heavy duty black color metallic snaps under the collar and close/open in the front with 6 yellow gold color buttons with black color rounded/bombe inserts in a kind of velveteen material.
The coat is 29 inches long from the top of the shoulders to the end of the hem, from shoulder to shoulders is 12 inches long, the chest is 34 inches around and I took that measure from on top of the pleats, just check the pictures and ask me if you are not sure about anything, this coat was made for Winters in NJ and was worn only twice just for special occasions, we live now in GA and my granddaughter prefer FUZZY materials and Purple-Lavender colors.
