HANDMADE, unique each timeā¦Red clay, or port soil, stands for so much! The journey cannot even begin to be explained through these few words. Red clay, like the roots of a tree, is as much as a part of a person as a reflection in the mirror. It can be found in 33 of 194 countries. It is the dirty of the South. It represents the pain and the blood that was poured into it but also having the mounting strength to adapt to the land, and harmoniously conquered others perceptions placed upon us. We are not for anyone's agendas or personal gains. This is not one race. This is culture. This is a shared heartbeat. The clay in its natural state is a healing agent. It holds the history of the ancestors. The Cheyenne, African Americans, women, and many others had to find strength and unite. The clay is a reminder of the wound, that no matter where we are, we carry that strength, that unity, the harmony and focus forward that has already been paid for from generations prior. As we are made from earth and shall return to earth, this clay is also a reminder of the fire within to make a difference for generations to come. Through all of those who unite, no matter why. We symbolize the promise land. We wear the reminders of that promise land... There are some that also have the nails within them. Each piece is unique.
