Stem plants suitable for planting straight into your aquarium

Lime Green fern species to add contrast in your tank

Similar in appearance to cabomba, this species is more lime green in colouration adding a unique contrast in the aquarium. Fern like leaves make it attractive to fry and small fish to hide within.  Propagated from cuttings.  Use Iron supplements to maintain and enhance colouration in red and pink species of plants.

Stem plants - 1 plant = 1 stem - stem plants do not have roots but will soon grow them once in correct conditions.

Stem plants are the most common form of aquatic plant.  They are single stems approx 6-8 inches in length, without roots.  They can be planted as is into the aquarium substrate and will soon grow roots and new leaves, assuming correct condition.  Stem plants can be pushed gently into the aquarium substrate, 2 to 3 inches depth, and grade no more coarse than 4mm.  Weights may be required initially to keep the plants in place (not included)

This species is yellow to lime green at the bottom and darker green at the top where the new growth occurs.  Plants are shipped in damp status however this species may loose moisture in transit, however once placed in the correct conditions it will re-hydrate and straighten towards the light.

We cannot guarantee exact size, length or colouration of the plants as this is a natural product and will vary naturally.  Each plant is a single stem with no roots and which can be planted in the aquarium.  This will grow under correct conditions.  Photos show example of established plants (Photo1) and stem plants (Photo 2) - you will receive similar to Photo 2 dependant on the quantity purchased

·       Plants are checked before sale and holding tanks are regularly treated but on very rare occasions an odd snail or eggs slip through – we advise checking your plants before adding to the aquarium

·       We only send out plants in a condition that we would be happy to have in our own tanks.

·       On the rare occasion an issue arises with the live plants arriving damaged, we WILL require photographic evidence. We need to be contacted within 24 hours or receipt and photos provided with 48 hours of arrival.  We will not accept issues being raised once the plants are within the buyer aquarium, or after the 48 hour period.

We dispatch plants Monday thru Thursday lunchtime in rotation of order received, to avoid your plants being held in the postal system over the weekend.  Most of our plants are packed to fit through standard letterbox, however if ordering large quantities of live plants, these will be sent in larger boxes.  We cannot be held responsible should plants be delayed due to buyer unavailability to accept delivery, or item awaiting later collection or redelivery.
