The Jerkbait 120SP from the Realis series has it all. For more than three years, chief designer Masahiro Adachi continued to perfect this cord until every little detail met his expectations and he had the lure in his hands that had exactly the desired features.
The result of the long development time and many tests is a truly versatile jerkbait. Thanks to the aerodynamic body shape and the integrated tungsten balls, which move into the back of the lure when cast, the lure flies extremely far. This means you can fish even very distant spots that other lures cannot reach. After the Realis Jerkbait 120SP is in its element, the two tungsten balls fixate themselves again in the abdominal area. In combination with the fixed weights inside the bait, every blow from the wrist results in a pronounced jerk. The baiter shoots from right to left and crosses very strongly. The latter is thanks to the flat design of the flanks, which, in addition to the aggressive flashing of the flanks, also creates strong turbulence in the water. This feature, in combination with the special sound made up of high and low frequency tones, lures even distant predators out of their reserve.
Technical details
Flat side body
The super flat body sides ensure the strong rolling action. The bait causes the edges to flash strikingly and creates water turbulences that can be perceived over long distances.
Action Response
The Realis Jerkbait 120SP has a very stable, high-frequency rolling action. Regardless of whether you crank it in quickly, jerk it strongly or just gently animate it - this bait offers many catching possibilities.
sound
The two tungsten balls provide a very dull, hard sound. The combination with high-frequency sounds generated by small glass balls appeals to any predatory fish, even over long distances.
How To
Steady retrieve
Even when simply cranked in, the Jerkbait 120SP is very catchy. The high-pitch rolling action allows the bait to roll around its own axis and the flat sides ensure light reflections. The steady retrieve technique is very successful, especially in the warm season. Short spinning stops or light strokes in the rod while constantly cranking often make a difference.
Jerk, jerk, break
Suspending jerkbaits are ideal for use in fall and winter. When the fish are no longer so active, it is important that the bait remains in the predator's field of vision for a long time. After casting, bring the bait to depth, jerk it hard twice and then let it stand on the spot. These pauses can be up to 30 seconds long depending on the time of year and water temperature. It is precisely in this floating phase that the bites often come.
Aggressive jerking
Blue skies, no wind, midsummer, clear water and often no bites. This situation makes us despair from time to time. The Realis Jerkbait 120SP is ideal for very aggressive guidance. The bait is reeled in very quickly and is constantly animated with hard hits of the rod. He darts in different directions and turns almost on his back. This crazy action makes even the most active robbers wide awake and regularly generates tough reaction strikes.
