The Delco Alternator plug is a wiring adapter that allows easy installation of alternator 3 wire connection. The plug is designed to snap into the connector at the back of GM style internal regulated alternator. This wire along with the hot wire to your battery is all you need to connect a 2 wire alternator.
The special feature is a diode that prevents voltage from your alternator to enter your ignition system and allows shutting down of your engine when using the original on-off ignition switch in older vehicles.
