This lively handwoven rug was produced by Kurdish villagers in Central Turkey for daily use in third quarter 20th century. These splendid vintage weavings were used in various ways such as wall-hangings, bedding covers, tent dividers, curtains, floor coverings in tents and village houses and as an addition to a maiden`s trousseau. Since they have not been produced for several decades, it is getting more and more difficult to find these beautiful works of textile and Folk Art. We were lucky to find this particular Kilim in excellent condition
