Offered is this original Banthrico metal promotional model car bank frame assembly. this unit is an original issue item and dates from the 1949 to 1952 era. After that  Banthrico frames were usually not totally rectangularlar in shape. I have collected Banthrico promotional for over thiryty years and can tell you that this piece is slightly larger than the 1949-1950 Chevrolet offerings. It is more in line with the 1949 DeSoto and Pontiac frames. The skilled individual could trim it to fit the Chevrolets without much difficulty.Measures approximately 6.75 x 1.75 inches. Does have some creases in the metal but the metal shows no signs of being bent out of shape as many have. I received this piece in a large collection of model car parts I purchased in the mid 1970s and am sure I will not need it so have decided to pass it along to another Banthrico person who may need a frame. Many have gone missing over the years and while some have been reproduced they do not have the unique creasing around the Bank Door. Thats how you know this is an original. Please look carefully at the photos.
