15TH/16TH CENT. SPANISH IRON DOOR KNOCKER - SNAKE PULL & SCROLL WORK







Description:

An unusual iron door knocker, probably Spanish, 15th/16th century with an uncommon combination of a wrought snake pull and curled sheetwork. Great surface.  Very goods condition. 7 5/8" tall, 3 1/2" wide, 4 1/4" deep, with a 3" staple. From a very well known collection of period iron. Name given to the winner.

Shipping:


Shipping charges are for shipping only.  There is no handling fee. In most cases USPS will be chosen.
