Pair of Rare Antique Thuringia German Vases with Fruit, Majolica. EUC.

Thuringia is a region of Germany and not a maker. In this region there were so many porcelain makers by the end of the 18th century that they are now known as Thuringia porcelain. Part of the reason being that this porcelain was not made for the kings and high society but for the middle class. This charm is what makes them very collectible. Thuringia porcelain is very rare now and extremely hard to find.

Vases measure 7 inches tall with a ruffled rim, base is 2 inches to 2.5 inches. Each vase measures between 10.1 ounces and 11.8 ounces. Quite beautiful. Designed to sit at a diagonal view. Noted paint on one vase as seen in photo, can surely be peeled off with correct products.
