Mini Set-up- Reamers, Mandrels, & More

This new set up is ideal for those reed makers on a budget, or works well as a travel kit to take on the road or to your lesson.

To keep my prices low, I quite often buy in bulk, both from  wood suppliers, specialty manufactures,  as well as the machine shops that do custom work for Nexuswoodwind.  As a result, I have have left over pieces and parts from already completed projects, inventory,  and set-ups that are  already listed on my website. This mini set up is a result of pulling together some of my surplus inventory to create a compact and economical addition to any reed-makers  arsenal of tools and widgets.   

Here is what you get:

1. Traditional Spiral Reamer-African BUBINGA wood-with adjustable limiter stop- (slightly more aggressive- ideal for first ream)

2. RIEGER Style 5 fluted reamer-African BUBINGA wood- with  adjustable limiter stop- (has a more gradual taper-somewhat less aggressive- ideal for 2nd ream)

3. MEDIUM grit diamond reamer-RIEGER taper- (recommended for 3rd ream)

4. FINE grit diamond reamer-RIEGER taper- (recommended for final ream)

5. Traditional Long Pin forming mandrel-High grade 303 stainless steel

6. Sakakeeny/VanHoesen forming mandrel-High grade 303 stainless steel

7. Holding mandrel pin-High grade 303 stainless steel

8 Quick Release Handle-African BUBINGA wood-for use with all 5 pins described above

9. Corian Marble magnetic base holder- for holding all 3 handles, two diamond reamers, two forming mandrels, and one holding mandrel
