Hi and Welcome to Irie Beads formerly Cherrygon's Beading Gallery.  This an Inventory of Rare Tagua Beads. They are sold in 2 piece Lots an are all 25mm to 55mm.  Tagua Beads are made from the Nuts of a Tree that is a member of the Palm Tree Family.  Tagua Nut Beads are affectionately know as Vegetable Ivory. They are indigenous to South America.  Some are from Columbia,  some are from Equador and some from Peru.  The Inventory below will list where that particular bead was made.    This is a Natural Nut that has been dyed. Some of the nuts Are Coated with Resin giving them a Glossy effect,  Some are Polished with a Natural Shine and some are Semi Matte meaning not naturally polished much. There are opaques, some with Matrix lending it self to a Batik Like Design. We have a Total of 76 Sizes and Colors and so there are 2 listings. This Listing is Pinks, Reds, Orange, Yellows, Greens and ans and Aqua. The next listing has the Turquoise, Blues, Purples, Browns, Black, Naturals and Beige. It is quite large so it would be used as a Focal Point.  The Hole are Suitable for a 2.5mm or less stringing Material. .The imagination is full of wonderful Possibilities.  Most of these are not being produced any longer so when they are gone that is it so Please enjoy.
